I love Whitney and I want this album to be great. We, as her fans, want her to be in tip-top shape. But as this point and with all the failed release dates, I'll believe the album is out when I see it in stores. |

If I get official word that the album wont come out until Fall 09, I will truly be crushed. I can understand the wait for voice purposes, but with so many let
downs, I probably will block Whitney out of my mind up until the press release for the album drops along with the first single, and not because i'm mad at
her but I just don't want to dwell on it and complain every week like some people on here do.

So, AristaInsider said he knew EVERYTHING about T-Pain if we wanted any info on him. I simply asked if he had worked with Whitney and he/she disappeared.
Likely story.
I really think Ronnie just wanted to go out with a bang because he hasn't been back here SINCE that thread with all that INSIDER info. |

it is pretty sad how little we know about this album. nowadays you almost have to have enough advance promo to build anticipation to give an album momentum.
you cant rely on radio and appearances since so fewer people are watching traditional tv and listening to radio. i cant imagine the album just dropping out of
the sky in feb without anyone having heard a peep and its already january.

I'm not tryna start nothin, but... I'm starting to come to the realization that we are likely to hear bobbi kristina's record before another
whitney one. I mean I joined up in 04 & had accounts deleted and added on 3 occasions in that time AND DO YOU KNOW THAT YALL ARE STILL HAVING THIS
CONVERSATION; asking the same ass question- "when is the album coming out???!!!' I mean... that aint... tellin you nothin?!
i'm tryna figure this out. fo' real |

Lol too funny. I'm going to give her until the end of February, after the grammy's and the announcement of special guests on American Idol, if she's not participating in those events or if there's no official news on the album, i'm going to have to take a Whitney break, its too disheartining. |

I couldn't agree more with this. Toni Braxton has a new album coming in March, and we have album cover and title. That's the reason I doubt this album will come in the first quarter of 2009. I say end of November is our best bet now. Just my opinion. |

november 2009 is not are best bet.. just because there is no news doesn't mean we will have to wait a completely another year. i see the album dropping
either in the summer or earlier.

JoeyOnTheRun wrote:Its just a matter of common sense at this point. Why in the world would Clive release the cd in the summer when any television promotion Whitney would do would be during the time that networks get their fewest viewers. Obviously it would be better to begin promoting the set in the Fall of 2009 with a November release. Whitney would be well served in using the grammies this year (well it will be 2009 in a little bit) and shows such as American Idol to reintroduce herself to the public as the Voice not as promotional tools for a Spring or Summer release. If she has really worked on her voice (through surgery or training) then releasing this new CD during the holiday season after some spectacular performances throughout the year with full fledged promotion starting in September would be the way to go. All good things are well worth the wait. |

Speaks to the Legacy of Whitney Houston's career in music | ||
|
The longer the album takes to complete the more important it becomes -- the more people/fans expect. Pretty much this album will be compared to her best selling albums. At this point the album will be a *special* addition to her catalogue of music & will speak to the legacy of Whitney Houston's career in music. This is why we got to just hold-on & let Whitney deliver. Do what she does best. I am sure she realizes this as well. And thats why she said "When
its absolutely right."
Hopefully we will not have to wait another year for *NEW* Whitney material. But if so just reflect on what I said above. I'll follow my own advice as well. |

NEWS!!! | ||
DD wrote: I'm sorry. *HE* doesn't have time to check the board daily. lol.....But I have NEWS!!! First off, to answer your question, no, T-Pain has not worked with Whitney. There will be no voice coding on this album. lol. But you remember of course how I stated I've heard whispers of Cissy and Dionne lending a hand on the new album.... well, apparently it is for backing vocals on a remake of a song by one of Whitney's favorite R&B composers/songwriters, none other than Mr Sam Dees! Sam has worked with Whitney before as he has appeared on 2 of her past albums, writing both Just The Lonely Talking Again & Lover For Life. He is a legendary tunesmith from back in the 70's. And that's exactly from where she has chosen to record one of his hits. Allegedly she is preparing to record or has already recorded....(I'm so hoping this makes the final cut for the album!) ...CRY TO ME, which was originally recorded by Lolleata Holloway. I must say that, if true, this is the PERFECT song for her voice. I'm sure she'll add her own spin to it, but its a hell of a torch song. And I can definitely see this being right up Cissy and Dionne's alley. |

I like this song. It seem like something Cissy would sing, and i think because the lady voice reminds me of cissy's style. But if Whitney did it....it
would be great and i can hear Cissy backing her up on this because i know Cissy can hollar and whoaaaaaaaaaaaa....lol.

anyways i heard the song, and although it's a great soul song, it seems to be suited for a different type of album. This upcoming album, based on the
producers names, and even based on LINL, seems to be very hip, modern and uptodate with what radio is playing right now. This song seems more suited for a
future Whitney projects when she decides to make a non-commercial album. Also the way Lolleata Holloway sang it, I don't see Whitney going all out like
that, definitely not on a pop/r&b album, so it will be hard to outdo the original version. It's a soul song that screams the 60's & 70's,
it's not for this album, but we will see.

I listen to the song and I fall in love...Wow wow wow what a diamond!!
I believe that the album can be a mix of modern hit producer song but also old classic songs...think about the Amy Winehouse album...the people L O V E the style. Please let it be true Clive! |

The music is very classic, I can hear her do an amazing job on this track, it is simply beautiful and lets her use her voice. It is so perfect I really hope
they can lay some serious vocals... Dare I say they should use the old track... but you know it will be upgraded like IWALY you was changed from country to
what it become.
Great choice, whoever came up with this idea. True or not it is just what Whitney and her fans need. |
