fackebook is actually really good for networking in todays world. they just have to make sure it can stay away from hackers. it used to be hack proof, but

Thing is, today, how much of what we say/do/write/buy is really 'ours'. CCTV, loyalty schemes, online security etc etc nothing much we do now can be
seen as private or owned by you or me.

That meant fb can disseminate, sell, reuse, or give access to any party they want of content you provided without needed written consent or prior approval to access your account and lift stuff. This contravened their previous policy of 'privacy'. What people are upset about is they were not warned or given a time frame when this would occur; thus allowing peeps to remove content. You can bet once it does become instituted, fb will lose tons of users and content. Facebbok may have jumped the shark with this one. |

I agree that I dont think it is right for media such as Facebook to 'own' anything which it hasnt paid for or been given, butin this stragetime in which I was referring there is the argument that by sharing it in such a way you are in essence giving away your ownership rights to it. But Imust disagree that you can opt out of being in an area with CCTV, not unless you fancy living in a windowless room
