Realistically, this will not be her best album. Nothing can surpass Whitney or the bodyguard

With the amount of time, energy and focus put into this project, it could very well be her best album. The Bodyguard was her vocal peak, but Whitney's
artistic peak may be yet to come. True the voice is ILTL Morocco 2008 and not ILTL 1997, but Morocco showed some very impressive vocals in moments. I'm
sure they've captured the finest of what we heard last summer and put it into these new recordings with guts and soul to spare. We might just be surprised.

daniellapod that message you posted made me so warm inside, especially the parts where Whitney said she loves us, she is frantic because she knows we are
becoming restless & she is singing her heart out. I really do miss her and I cannot wait for her or this album!!
THANKS AGAIN for that post, hope it is ALL true:) |

As anyone's "fan", if you truly believe that then you should have made your exit long ago. God, I'm still shocked by some of the things I hear from the YOUNG fans. |

I love how people are claiming to be "realistic" and that this "can't be her best album" without even hearing a note off of it. Gotta
love CW.

Ronnoco Man wrote:A 'street team' is essentially a group of volunteers, usually die-hard fans who WANT to support the artist and see them rise to the very top (hence the Australian guy on Twitter asking if any "big Whitney fans" were interested in joining that fanclub, and then the email I got back from the woman at Sony saying they are looking for some of her biggest fans to help them promote the new album she has coming). Street teamers are motivated on helping the artist sell more CDs and increasing the artists' fanbase. They spread the word about an artist through word-of-mouth, handing out flyers, calling radio stations and requesting the artist's songs, getting the music to dj's to play in clubs, putting up posters and plastering messages on bulletin boards and forums all over the internet..and so on. It's a very active grassroots effort which uses people(fans) to spread the word from person to person like a virus. |

in terms of being a critically acclaimed album it will be up there if not her best. vocally it wont be BG, that's a given. but the songs we know so far
doesn't require that vocally with unnecessary runs and riffs; it's a different genre of music. sales wise, it's pretty much guaranteed she wont hit
the marks of Whitney or BG. the music industry today doesn't allow it with downloads, leaks, youtube, torrents, etc. i guestimate 7 - 10 mil sales world
wide after a yr..

lol! doesn't that just twist your tit, joey! drives me crazy, stuff like that!
this latest info is really interesting! and i agree with many above -- this album could easily be her greatest critical hit. think about it -- thusfar, the album most celebrated by the critics is either her debut or MLIYL. the differences in vocals and styles between those two albums is astounding, but what they have in common is whitney's lyrical interpretation and QUALITY SONGS. this album should have both, as well. |

I think it will be difficult to tell IMMEDIATELY if it is her best album. I will no immediately if it is NOT her best album, but to know for sure if it is her
BEST I will have to give it a few years. The fact that it is NEW and the production will be most up to date will make it sound the best, with help from initial
excitement. If 5 years go by and I still think it is better than some of her older albums, or is just as good, that will mean something.
This has taken WAY TOO LONG for it not to be AT LEAST a very good album. They have literally spent YEARS recording and finding songs. I expect that multiple takes on vocals AND production have been done on various songs. It will be interesting to see if some of the songs we heard about over a year ago, like "Foolish In Love" from Will.I.Am or "Like I Never Left" from Akon even make the cut and how they sound. Her vocals have changed over the last two years and thankfully it was for the better. I can only imagine how many "rough cuts" were left on the cutting room floor. At this point aren't there only 3 songs that we know for certain made the album? "I Look To You", "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" and "Calling You Tonight" |

also the swiss beatz track.. if true and the music producer said MDB was NOT a title on the album, then that confirms he wasn't giving the track title to
rap-up.com as i said all along. both trevor and swiss did not answer my tweet to confirm the rap-up.com post either. the title is different and he was
referencing a million dollar bill for the answer. lol.

For me the state of her vocals will NOT determine if this is her "best" or one of her best records. First, of all, we all know it will be a
"good" album. All Whitney's albums have been at least "good".
A lot of stuff comes down to a matter of opinion and taste anyway. It all depends on what your looking for. "Whitney", "Whitney Houston" nor "TBG" are my favorite albums from her, so I'm not personally looking for that anyway. MLIYL is the Whitney Houston album I listen to the most and vocally I feel she was at her best during this period, unlike some, who worship TBG years. Her vocals have gone through many era's over the years. IYBT was her best era technically but by the time the MLIYL era came around, she had mastered every area of her voice. It was rich, wise, authorative, dramatic and very soulful. Those are the vocals I'm hoping for. I always said, she could have never sang INRBIO (one of my absolute favorite vocals from her) back in 1988. She just didn't have it in her back then and her voice would have sounded silly. Performance like Divas Live 1999, Brit Awards 1999, Oprah 1998 and 1999, Rosie 1997, God Bless America 2000, WWA 2004, and the Entire MLIYL tour pretty much, are the times I cherish (the most). |
