Whitney Houston has set a date for her triumphant return to music!
Usmagazine.com reports that the diva will be dropping her as-yet untitled
album on September 1. This will be her first CD in seven years; Just Whitney was released in 2002.
We know that whatever Whitney has laid down on the tracks will be Grammy-worthy gold, but this release comes a day after the award submission deadline.
That date has been bumped up to August 31, which is at least two weeks sooner than usual; if the "So Emotional" singer releases a single before
that day, she could still be eligible to take home an award.
Everyone is exctied to hear Whitney's next album, but what's taken the iconic singer so long to
return to the booth?
"You wait for the great songs to be written," Clive Davis said of Whitney's project. "The great hits Whitney has given to the public
for so many years-you keep encouraging and setting the bar."
Well, the bar is being set pretty high considering that Mega songwriter Diane Warren is writing the lead single, "I Didn't Know My Own
Strength."
