lovely lyrics though - god I so need to hear this song, her voice in the bits I heard sounded so strong. I wonder if there will be a single or performance, or
video released in time for LONDON PRIDE which is coming this weekend. Things that make you go hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

there wasnt even much of the song in there. i dont think we have any clue what the song is going to sound like from that. and it certainly wasnt any
"test" for the single. abunch of drugged out gay guys at 6am. i doubt the label was trying to put out any feelers. this was just a dj that had
already remixed the song and got permission to play it this weekend. there is so little of the actual song in there anyway.

some remixes cross into the mainstream huge, but this one is WAY too hardcore for most audiences and anything other than a satellite dance radio station.
peter's remixes are never for the radio anyway, they are always club songs. i am sure we will get a lot of remixes and def more that are tamer and more
appealing to a wider audience. however, for a ballad, the remixes are somewhat less important. i agree with the poster who said that ballads remixed into dance
songs usually dont work. sometimes they are surprisingly better, but a song that supposedly ha so much feeling is just going to sound funny as a dance song.
anyway, looking forward to the album cover and single. |

I think that the dance remixes serve to help her crossover appeal. During the MLIYL era, pop
stations here only played the dance remixes of HH, MLIYL & INRBIO whereas the R&B stations played the album versions ... as for those long notes I am
going to wait to hear the original version bc it may be a case of extending a note the way they did in the ThunderPuss 2000 version of INRBIO.

DevilsAdvocate069 wrote: Well, it clearly IS a case of such an extension (one of the few certain things I can safely conclude from the soundmess available). However, I guess it's too premature to jumt to any other conclusions as of yet - we need to hear either the HQ remix or (better) the song itself. So far - I will "eat" anything from Whitney. The wait has been too long and I am "starving"... |

pathetic.. can't hear anything. 2-3 seconds of runs or not, the recording is crap. need HQ asap before judging. the original and the remix.

I think its funny how we are so desperate for new Whitney that we are actually trying to disect this utter mess of an audio, but hey it's better than
nothing

I don't like remixes at all! I like original songs!

I'm not listening to this but I'm happy to read that it seems as though the release of her first single is now within sight! I expect the original will
be released this week or next!

It's the ballads that get an upbeat remix that i don't really appreciate

I think Arista will be playing it by ear when it comes to the timing of the single's release. It seems as though things are return to "normal"
following Michael's death. By that I mean, the media coverage isn't as innudated as it was last week. Obviously, MJ's death is a huge story but I
slowly other news is making its way into rotation.
Not having heard "Strength" I don't know how it will do on Top 40 and Urban radio. I'm hoping for a #1 record so can anyone tell me the last ballad that reached #1 on both Top 40 and R&B? |

I agree.
But this remix seems very hot, in the same way as "It's not right but it's ok", even though "Strength" is a ballad. |

I am baffled that there are people out there who think we want to know what they don't like. If you don't have anything positive to say you know what
to do... It's too late to say what you don't like. It is what it is and it is on! so jump that wagon and find some positivity!
