I think its time to boost this topic back to the top and making it our top priority again. Anyways, now that the BET Awards is over, I wonder what they are
going to do for promotion, as far as people visibly seeing WHitney. I also want to know when we will hear the first single, July is two days away now

i don't think we will hear or see anything until after the michael jackson's funeral. Not even a leak of a single. I think that the album cover will
probably be released next week actually even though it was rumored for this week. I don't expect anything as of right now. I hope i'm wrong though
because i think a simple album cover leak is good enough right now

I'm am gona stop checking for this project everyday and wait for the text messages. If Arista late then it aint for us to see it. I am just fed up with all
the speculations. Dam!!! Plus I have to recover from watching 4hours of utter crap.

it funny after all this time how crappy whitneyhouston.com have been to us but now we are gonna wait for THEM out of all sites to give us the first single and
album news. lol. i honestly think something will probably leak before that.

Yeah I agree, the tide has changed to the official site for once lol. However, if Roger Friedman says something, i'm inclined to believe it, he's been
pretty accurate about this project. I think they will wait till after the funeral now as well.

i find it's a bit early to get the cover of the album and the tracklisting, the suitable moment will be next month(just one month before the release of the
album)for the leak of the album,i agree whitney and arista should leak it on the official website two weeks before releasing.

I'm sure they will do a medley mix of the album at some point in the next week or so similar to how they did with that Christmas album she recorded.
Hopefully, she'll go over some of that work now that she's back on form, hopefully do some creative stuff too.
I had a dream last night she and Sade collaborated on a record - wouldn't that sound amazing? |

If she were in a good enough voice to sing smoothly like she did in Exhale, I think that collaboration would be very interesting, Nikesh.

OK, now here's the catch...you get the full track in this vid, but the sound quality is beyond terrible. If you fast forward to 2:40, turn down your
volume and remember how much you love Whitney, you will get a good taste of the track here - or if nothing else, just watch all the hot shirtless New York boyz
dance their sweet assezzz off. L.A. loves you, NY, lol:

i do not believe for a second that they will push a single thing back because of michael's death. there would be no point. most americans were sad to hear
of his death, but having never known the man personally, are not in "mourning" or about to stop going about daily life as usual.
there can be mutliple big things happening at once in this world and that i usually the way life happens. also, it takes awhile for a single to build, so the release date is not all that huge or a deal. the album release is the big date. and they cant keep pushing things back or its all gonna happen in one week as opposed to over the course of a couple months. \ |

They Might Push it Back | ||

Right now, radio stations are playing a lot of Michael Jackson
songs ... granted, the marathons are over but will probably start back up closer to his funeral. Go to any entertainment website & MJ is all you see ...
there are 10 headlines right now on TMZ's mainpage. News sites are even all over it, CNN's current main story is MJ related. In other words, until
the hoopla of his death, his autopsy, his will, who gets the kids etc etc starts to die down, Whitney Houston may not get the coverage that she could have
otherwise.
On the other hand, it could take forever for these things to be resolved so they may forge ahead instead of waiting for the most opportune time. If her people are shrewd, they could use it to their advantage if the lyrical content of her song could somehow apply to the situation - think "Candle in the Wind" when Princess Di died. I am sure that they are weighing their options & finding the best possible way to get the entertainment industry behind her comeback w/out it being too overshadowed by other events. |

Yeah but at the same time, people are ready to move on, MJ's funeral is still the only big thing left, we've seen the God awful tribute, now it's time to lay him to rest, once that settles, it's really time to move forward, the news is still there but it's getting less and less coverage and rebounds when something new occurs. Trust me in a week or so, people are going to need some sunshine in the music industry, they will move forward with the album very soon. |

They do not need to push a thing back because of Michael's death. After this week people will have had enough. They can only go on about this story for so
long and what better way for people to move on from this sad story? People will be happy to see Whitney has returned healthy and happy, especially after this
tragedy. In a sad way, this could actually help Whitney's comeback.
People don't want this MJ story to go on forever. I'm sure the media will drag it on as long as they can, but there is definitely an opening for Whitney's comeback to shine some light after all of this darkness. Nothing should be pushed back. |
