Appreciating the I'm Your Baby Tonight Album
This album is so unfairly ignored and underrated! Despite the fact that it didn't sell as well as its predecessors it is a high quality record. Whitney was at her vocal peak and exerting more creative control over her music. All The Man That I Need is one of Whitney's most masterful vocal performances of all time and in a just world would be as conspicuous today as I Will Always Love You. The video for the title track is Whitney's most polished IMO and her vocals on the song were pure fire! The album has so many hidden gems- Anymore is a great new jack swing number which should have been a single. Who Do You Love is a great pop song in the vein of How Will I Know and I Belong To You is Whitney at her sexiest. Even the b-sides Dancing On the Smooth Edge and Feels So Good are amazing! Who else out there loves this album/era of Whitney's career??
