I just had a rather interesting but revealing exchange with Keith Caulfield. He tweeted the following:
@keith_caulfield @Pink Why would you tweet that mad tv Whitney sketch ? how disrespectful? would you have done that to a white female star?
@keith_caulfield @Pink : Would love a response Keith especially as Billboard is a neutral music source. I find that sketch offensive
@keith_caulfield @Pink : It never ceases to amaze me the racist shit that still goes on in America R U gonna post a parody of Britney Spears
@keith_caulfield @Pink : Billboard is suppose 2 B rrespectable music publication. Why ever would you tweet a parody mocking Whitney Houston
@keith_caulfield @maura : Whitney Houston is an icon & has contributed greatly to the field of music, 30yrs to be exact she doesn't deserve
@WhitneyStandard Hello. My tweets are my own. I found the dancing parody funny because, well, Whitney doesn't dance!
@keith_caulfield : of course your tweets are your own but your page is not private & I saw it & based on your profile u rep Billboard
@keith_caulfield : I found your tweet of a parody mocking Whitney's drug abuse distasteful and not funny especiall coming from Billboard rep
@keith_caulfield : if you think Whitney Houston not being a dancer is funny, she has tons of youtubes of her actually dancing tweet those
@keith_caulfield :Yr response makes no sense bcuz it isn't even Whitney dancing, it's a parody showng her illness, it's really nt abt dancng
@keith_caulfield : Sure you can be a fan of her music, but that I don't think u realize how a parody mocking addiction of whitney houston is
@keith_caulfield : Not funny. i find it really inapproriate& i would say the same if a parody of Britney Spears shaving her hear suffering
@keith_caulfield : mental illness distasteful and inappropriate as well if you tweeted that but u didn't, it was of a Black Woman! #notfunny
@keith_caulfield : I hold you to a higher standard because u r a representative of Billboard magazine, a quasi neutral publication but u're
@keith_caulfield : mocking whitney houston when she was ill, no there is nothing u really can say. I'm just not suprised anymore by media
@WhitneyStandard Unsure if anything I say will change how you feel about this. No matter if I say how I'm a fan of her music, etc.
@WhitneyStandard Did not mean to offend, and trust - I wish "Million Dollar Bill" was a hit. Find the @freemasonsmusic mix. Amazing.
@keith_caulfield @freemasonsmusic : yes Freemason's remix of MDB is amazing and Whitney fans love it especiall Europe but not surprise
@keith_caulfield @freemasonsmusic : it wasn't a hit here, radio don't play music of female artist over 45 for the most part, it was a hit
@keith_caulfield @freemasonsmusic : In england where ageism is not as bad as in America. Really examine your motivation for posting that
@WhitneyStandard The original tweet has been deleted. Truce?
@keith_caulfield @freemasonsmusic : Whitney houston parody, search the content of your heart, i don't think yr motivation was pure bt anyhoo
@keith_caulfield : truce but the memory in my mind hasn't - it just showed me how far ppl have to come in their veiws on addicitons & Black
@keith_caulfield : female artist. There is still a long way to go. of all the things you could have posted, but anyway, Good night!

it is a parody by Debra Wilson supposed on her non dancing but that is subterfuge, really it's about her drug addiction and ridiculing it. I never found that funny because would someone ridicule or make a parody of a person suffering from mental illness. I bet you not.
I tweeted him the following:
Whitney fans please hold 'respected' music entities accountable when they trash whitey. Keith Caulfield one of...
Your tweets are not really your 'own' when they are tweeted out in the blogosphere and your acct isn't private
@Whitney standard: (my tweet) People do not let the media disrespect our icons especially those who have contributed even if they may have suffered frailities or missteps
@Keith_Caulfield: (final tweet)Have been reminded that what I say in any public forum carries weight and impacts people. Think about that Tweet before you Tweet
