Of course we all know that Whitney's various videos have been deleted or blocked so many times, but here are her current videos with the most views on youtube (over 20 million):
I Will Always Love You (Music Video) VEVO - 182 m
I Will Always Love You (Lyrics) - 133 m
I Look to You (Music Video) VEVO - 60 m
I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Music Video) VEVO - 46 m
I Have Nothing (Music Video) VEVO - 45 m
Run To You (Music Video) VEVO- 40 m
Greatest Love of All (Music Video) VEVO - 29 m
I Have Nothing (Lyrics) - 28 m
It's Not Right But It's Okay (Music Video) VEVO - 26 m
I Will Always Love You (Live 99 Divas) - 22 m
My Love is Your Love (Music Video) VEVO - 20 m
What strikes me most is how even though the song I Look to You wasn't successful on the charts and when first released on youtube, it found a lot of success after Whitney's death. It has become a Whitney classic, the one song that represents her later years.
I'm also surprised that Run To You has a lot more views than songs like I'm Every Woman & How Will I Know, but again this could be a result of how some songs had been blocked on youtube or accumulated most of their views in non-Vevo videos that got deleted. No.1 songs like I'm Your Baby Tonight, Where Do Broken Hearts Go barely have any views
Even though all these songs deserve way more views, I still think Whitney figures well compared to some of her peers like Madonna, Celine, Janet, etc. I'm glad that many of her videos with a lot of views are now under VEVO and therefore will not be deleted anymore. I remember OMIT live from the grammys having over 100 million views at one point, and that was a long time ago, but it got deleted over and over. Her overall numbers would have been astronomical if her videos were not deleted so many times.
Are some of these videos blocked in your countries? Anything missing? Anything that stands out for you? I wonder if it's possible to somehow make a Whitney video go viral at this point in time, like some compilation or interesting video with no copyrights that can capture the attention of everyone.
