It makes me feel good to create things about Whitney, feelings as if I am doing my part to help keep her legacy alive.
My recent documentary, Whitney Houston: In Her Own Words (An Eli Greene Film) has caused quite a stir.
I posted it on Facebook and tagged Pat Houston, Ulysess Carter, and Lynn Volkman in the video. I am Facebook friends with all of them.
Lynn Volkman wrote me and asked me to remove the video from Facebook because I did not have the right to use footage from "Welcome Home Heros" and "Whitney Houston: A Concert For A New South Africa"
Lynn informed that Pat, Clive, Ulysess and herself have all viewed my video. She said it is very well put together and she enjoyed it. She thanked me for being a Whitney Houston fan and for supporting her.
She also said that she did not want anyone to confuse my video with the new documentary about to be released on Whitney Houston. She asked me to be patient and wait foe the official doc.
I informed her that I was not selling the video for profit and it was made simply for Whitney Houston fans...!
She sent me another email telling me that she has contacted her attorneys to ask them is it ok if I leave the video up because I am not selling it for profit. She told me to leave it up for now, but I may need to take it down if the attorney says so...
So anyone who has not watched my film...please do so, because I may need to remove it soon! Thanks You guys and share it you want!
