I also read that Whit and Ree was a part of an all-female performance of one of Ree's songs at a Clive Davis Pre-Grammy award celebration. Other than that, not that I know of.

The song sounds like a throwaway, they should have picked a classer ballad, rather than a midtempo. Let's hope they'll do another duet together one day.

Diamond Posts: 2834 May 1 07 2:41 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	as a matter of fact, at the very end of the exhale medley, Aretha's voice was the one you could hear the most, over anyone elses's voice, but indeed she was doing what she always does when she shares a stage with other singers with poverful voices, she was hollering a lot trying not to be drowned out by the others, mostly by Chaka Khan in that occasion....i do think that her recorded duet with Whitney was one of the lowest points in both singers' careers, to be forgotten, glad it wasn't included in any Whitney's album...it would have been great to hear a duet between the two of them with Whitney with an "I'm your baby tonight" kinda voice and Aretha with a "Sparkle" kinda voice...that would have been an interesting match

In all seriousness, her duets with both Aretha & Stevie are so beneath each artists level, while her duets with Jermaine Jackson (with the exception of "Shock Me") & Teddy Pendegrass are stellar, IMO.

I really thought they'd do something along the lines of Whitney and Cissy. I've often thought that they chose the song because everyone just figured they do some over the top power ballad together.

My dream diva show would be, Whitney, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion - that would definitly blow everyone away... Speaking of duets: Streisand and Houston... its SO strange that never heppen.

Yeah they're both great but too much of a good thing can be bad (very bad). It seems that too often when two great voices come together to duet it's a disasterous affair (immediately I think whit/Aretha, Luther/Janet, ).
