Do you guys think they will re-start the Platinum Club again?
I was re-reading all her CD booklets the other day, and even the One Wish album thanked the platinum club members, and I laughed. |

I know! When I saw it I was shocked!
It says " A special happy holidays to the Whitney Houston Platinum Club" It was nice, but, there was no platinum club, haha. The GH album form 2000 still has the address and information to join. I wonder what would happen if I sent in money, haha. |

Maybe it has always been this way, but I just noticed it. At Whitneyhouston.com they play IWALY, at the top right hand corner, then after the song ends, its
completely silent for like 3 mins, then IBIYAM plays and then MYIYL plays. Then they go back to IWALY. I know it's nothing groundbreaking, news worthy, but
I had never noticed it before, probably because I don't stay on the sight that long.

From someone I know that heard the whole album in a listening session this week: There are 13 songs. Potential more. First single is Alicia/Swizz produced, not very good choice, does not fit Whitney. Nobody who heard it liked it. Akon track is on there, but has been re-recorded. Diane warren song he didn't like. Jamie Foxx has a song on it he wrote for her, and its the best song, it's a ballad. It could be R. Kelly's song. He might have mixed them up. There is a song that sounds like How Will I Know. Her voice sounds 2000 Whitney, very good and has been AMPED. The cd is a mix between ballads and dance songs. The cd sounds little outdated. She re-recording some songs becuase she could do them better now. THANK GOD THIS IS ONLY A OPINION THAT SOMEONE WHO I DON'T KNOW AND I MAYBE WE DON'T HAVE THE SAME OPION! hehehe |

Here is information on the term 'amp' referred to in Dzemil's post:
By Stephen Pate, NJN Network, Charlottetown, PEI, Canada, September 27, 2008 updated May 20, 2009 It's a source of constant amazement that singers don't use decent audio equipment. While musicians will pay thousands for a fantastic guitar and amp combination, singers use the cheapest microphones. It's amazing that many guitarists have more than 10 guitars to their name plus as many amplifiers and singers have one or two cheap mikes. People come to hear the singer, not the drummer, bassist or guitarist unless you are Jeff Beck. Do we care what instrument Paul McCartney plays? No. "It's the singer, not the song," sang Mick Jagger. The standard mic for clubs is the Shure 58 or its variations. It costs about $200. Some singers are belting their songs into $40 knock offs for hours. Don't they know it makes them sound horrible? My favorite indie band was ruined by the singer's use of bad mikes. Their CD's were great: club appearances were variable. Neumann KMS104, what you sound like I've seen bands come to a gig and the singer scrounges around for the house mic. A good performance mic will make the singer sound great. Some examples are the Shure KSM9 or the Neumann KMS104. Both cost around $700. They will make any singer shine, unless of course he or she has no voice. In that case, the audience will hear it all. To compensate for our weaknesses, singers can buy inexpensive devices like the DigiTech Vocalist Live 4 and Live 2 or the TC Helicon series of VoiceTone pedals. These will correct pitch, add harmony, vocal effects, EQ and otherwise make you sound wonderful |

some people mentioned ryan tedder. seriously, whitney should work with him again. here's his latest with jordan sparks "battlefield". this is a
song whitney could sing. has a hip rock/rnb beat to it and a crescendo that works. lyrics aren't deep but not childish and cheesy like
"obsessed". easily modify to whit's voice. she should lead off with a song like this as a comeback single. everyone online loves this tune.

I listened to the song and while it is nice and fresh, apart from the line, '...better go get your armour', I found the song didn't pull me in. If
I heard this on the radio, I would change the station.
I am hoping that others would have emailed RP as I am wary of new posters with important information. I am hoping that if indeed this is not the final version that they would add a choir and fine tune the production/mix. |

As i said originally i love the song, the song is not my problem. You can't think like a fan if you want success sometimes. You have to think about how you
think others will recieve the song too.. We on this board can praise this song all we want but non fans or people who may not be that into her music opinions
COUNT too. We've been down this road before just because you have a great album doesn't mean people will buy it. You need a good kickoff first single
too capture people attention. There are songs like no one by alicia keys that pretty much is current and its a universal potential across the board or even
song like mary j blige be without you. that is current and can reach all forms on the radio. i'm not saying these songs are for whitney but it give you a
idea where whitney should go with a first single maybe. She could go the "its not right but its ok" route too. but this I didn't know my own
strength mastered or not won't work. Sometimes you have to step away from the whitney board to get a real idea of what whitney is working with. Red flags
across the board with IDKMOS.
