I just feel...empty...I wasn't the biggest MJ-fan (though I definitely enjoy his music), but I was a big MJ-defender...He was this beautiful,
misunderstood soul and I hope that all people who made fun of him will at least feel a tiny bit sorry now...I make fun of celebs as much as the next person,
but with Michael (especially these last couple of years), it was different. As brilliant as he was, he obviously didn't love himself. Since the late
nineties (probably even earlier), Michael had become beyond mockery. How could anyone still make fun of such human tragedy? Why are we so unable to accept that
even the rich and talented can be unhappy? Even the rich can feel ugly. Even the talented can feel like misfits. No one likes to be laughed at and Michael was
the world's laughing stock. But unlike -say Madonna- he was never strong enough to bear it. He was basically forced to skip adolescence, the 'formative
years' where most of us develop a sense of self and adapt to the adult world. Michael continued to struggle with adulthood (and all the invisible barriers
it entails) until the very end. As weird as it may sound, I just wish Michael could be alive to see the outpoor of love and support over his death. At least
he'd know we still love him, despite it all...
