This is a very mature and classsy song for her core fans. Most young people will not be able to relate to this song due to their lack of life experiences.
I'm early 40's and can relate to every word she is talking about.....This is pure classic whitney in her new voice. Love it!

Ok, people are saying that this song can't be the first single because certainly will not char well. But what's the problem that the second or third
single go well in the chart . Must be the first single this massive success?

I know I'm going to get slated, but I'm still going to put my honest opinion forward anyway. This song is akin to "You'll Never Stand Alone" from MLIYL and they would never have released that as a first single. It's a nice ballad, but it's not punchy enough (this is just my opinion and I respect people who think differently). |

Thanks for posting the most recent downloadable link. Its much clearer and I love it the more I listen to it. Clive knows what he is doing! This song WILL be a
single, first or not, and it is a great introduction back into music.

for those who think clive isn't interested in charts and stats is ridiculous. recall in a recent interview he said he stays up till 2-2.30am reviewing
every artist in his stable from stats, sales, and charts. if not he wouldn't use the 7 consecutive #1's as a selling tool. quite obvious clive and
arista cares about sales and chart standings.

There will be enough publicity so that the album will fare well at the beginning even if the first single doesn't. If it shall not become another JW, then she has to promote it and I mean not only in the US. And she has to tour. That's sure. |

Almost every single IDKMOS video is off you Youtube. I think Arista/Clive/Whitney wanted to see the public's response to this song, just like they tested
the waters for LINL

They need to erase that crack on 2:10; it's a major ear soar.

Whitney Houston Drops New Jawn: "I Didn't Know My Own Strength"Posted by Bossip Staff We love seeing comebacks and Whitney's comeback is long overdue. Whitney Houston is playing off of the fact that she was addicted to rocks. Pop the top and take a listen. Here are the lyrics from the chorus of her new song: "I Didn't Know My Own Strength":
Sounds like she's keeping it real about her drug addiction. About time.
