I guess once you get past the criticism and scrutiny of each note Whitney makes on this song...and every song for that matter on this record.....YOU ACTUALLY START TO NOTICE OTHER THINGS....LIKE LYRIC...CONTENT...EMOTION AND MEANING.....AND YES....THAT SHE IS SINGING.....I have been listening to this album NON-STOP!!!

I certainly think it was a far stronger single option than I Look To You. This has a stronger emotional sentiment, and something about it lends itself well to live performance. IMO ILTY doesn't age that well after initial listens, while this one just grows on you with each spin.

It's funny that the two songs that had fans in an uproar, IDMOS and LINL, are the two songs resonated most with the general public. It's just another reminder that just because you love Whitney doesn't mean you know what's best. All these psedu experts warning that those songs would never catch on just didn't get it. Like you said it's the album's ultimate grower and I agree that it's superior to ILTY.

It has a message that will resonate with the millions who are going through what Whitney did, or who overcame it.
