Well, I have accepted this as the first single and now I wish they would just release it! It's taking too long now. It needs to get to radio. It will take a couple of weeks of release before it even goes for ads.

Perhaps I'm unsure of their true strategy and they are expecting this single to peak with her album release and live performances. They may be banking on her rounds of television promotion later this summer. But compared to other current artists releasing music, this is a little late to release the single. But this is a different scenario than most artists so I'll wait and see what the plan is. Hope they ship it to radio soon though.

After further listening, if they could just add a beat behind it and give it a more midtempo feel, it could work on radio quite well. Hope Whitney can bring the ballad back!
