Whitney Houston is NOT ready to tour the US! She's going to have to amp up the entire tour production and her vocals are going to have be ON. Chopping up her verses the way she does overseas is not going to cut it here because the media and the public will be anticipating hearing her sing the songs as they know them.

Not only does she play those keys like Alicia but she can tear her songs up live like its nobody's business. She doesn't hold back in concert so there could be some comparisons. But the thought of a Toni Braxton/Whitney Houston concert I think would be a huge ticket draw. Isn't Toni announcing a US tour soon and if Whitney tours the US then perhaps there is talk of a joint effort? Maybe we're not jumping to conclusions.

Toni Braxton can sing and all (^^^^glad to see you giving her props), but Toni;s voice is no match to Whitney;s, even with her "chopped up singing". Atleast Whitney can open up her mouth to sing, and not mumble every word. But it would be more in Toni's best intrest to be on her A game then it will Whitney's, because she needs to compensate for her flopped album.....just sayin'

Whenever she has a bad day there is always a real reason, such as a cold, bad travelling schedule or cramps from her period. When she is healthy her voice is pretty much unbeatable in the pop world. I think she has learnt when it is her lady days that she can't get headvoice out, so she works around it. There is nothing a vocal coach can do now. Had it not been for her URI infection and the volcano causing awful travel arrangements April would've been a much better month, shame as it was a key month for the media cretins. Of course nothing was mentioned of her great finale shows in Manchester.

However, I hope everyone in the Whitney camp, including Whitney herself, learned something from this tour. I'd be very disappointed if Whitney came back, lining up dates back to back, looking unrehearsed, out of shape and not in good voice. To me that would just signal that she and her team took nothing from the NBL tour experience. Whitney's voice is improving and this weight gain has to be because she quit smoking; people put on weight fast when they stop. If she really did quit smoking I give her all the credit in the world and to me that says that she obviously does care about what is going on with her voice and wants to fit it ASAP. Think about it, Whitney has smoked for so long and she obviously loves it, it's probably the one little vice that she had left and if she did stop, well, that really speaks volumes...

But seriously, how else was Whitney supposed to get back in the saddle except to, well, GET BACK ON THE STAGE. Sitting at home was not going to do any good for her physical health or sobriety. Yes, it's a mixed blessing but I firmly believe Whitney was hiding a lot of weaknesses and the tour forced her to get out, be exposed, face them, and begin the process of working on them. NOW< I firmly believe she will get into gear and start to really take charge of her physical condition, voice, and live stage show. I believe that touring has helped her understand for herself what she needs to do and the bad press has perhaps given her a lot of motivation to finally do those things. WE can only hope she is decisive and clear about her next steps and doesn't lose the momentum.

I am not worried about her outfits, hair or stage but her voice and that it stays on an upward trend and consistent.

Saying Whitney doesnt need a vocal coach is like saying a boxer or pro-athlete doesnt need a trainer.
