She will have plenty of time she could do the album after both movies are finished if they start GTH early 2012 or while she is in the studio doing the soundtrack(s). Videos take a day to shoot.

If she really is only doing a few songs for "Sparkle" and they are gospel songs at that, then she definitely can do a studio album. Trust and believe Jordin Sparks is going to be working on an album to benefit from the "Sparkle" exposure. And truth be told, although it may be nice, we haven't even heard anything about a GTH soundtrack, of course it's still early, but who is say that there will even be one.

I didn't know where to post this but the movie "Steel Magnolias" will be getting a remake, but this time it will be all black female leading ladies... It looks like it will be a tv movie though... However Craig Zadan is envolved and he worked with Whitney on Cinderella so I have a feeling that she will be approached... Anyways just thought I'd mention it since we talk a lot about black movies especially in the wake of the upcoming Sparkle and GTH... This one definitely has a lot of potential roles for Whitney...http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/entertainment/2011/10/steel-magnolias-to-get-a-remake/

She can record it Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr 2012. If Angela can direct a movie Whitney can record an album in that time.

I'm not ragging on her, but come on, no way in hell will she record a studio album immediately after 2 movies and soundtrack work. She's going to promote the films and her response to "when will you record again?" will be something along the lines of ... "I just finished 2 films and recorded some tracks for the soundtracks, I'm taking some time off to raise my daughter/help with her career/read some books, etc" I swear, I'll be the happiest if she makes me eat my words ... but never happening.

We all know that Whitney Houston has worked a lot less in this last decade there are clear reasons why at this point. Whitney worked even when she was carrying a child actually several times when she was carrying a child, but for more than a decade and half Whitney was working many under the table. Check the facts then come back to me with more nonsense, i don't mean to rag you. It does not matter to me if Whitney does two movie and 6 songs or an entire studio album. Now a days an album is what 9 to 12 songs at most. Some of those songs could come from the soundtracks or not at all. What I continue to find funny from some corners is the idea that Whitney is somehow suppose to now what to work all the time like she did when she was 28? Explain to me what would be the reason to work like that anymore? Other than younger ( like Rhianna) stars now who releases an album every couple of years? Please tell me?

First of all no need to get nasty. I wasnt spewing nonsense, and you pretty much backed up my point ... Yes, for about a decade, over a decade ago, she worked non stop ... but she isn't in her 20's, and there ISNT a reason to work like that any more, and she DOESNT. So what exactly did I say that you do not agree with?? She's going to do 2 films, great. Do some work on both soundtrack, great again, but she wont be immediately dropping a studio album.
